our leadership

Danny Burnham

senior Pastor

Danny joined the Bayou Plaquemine Baptist family in 2021 after having served churches across the southeast. He grew up in St. Tammany Parish where he and his wife, Ronda were married. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Jacksonville University, and Master's from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he is currently working towards his Doctorate.  Danny’s greatest passion in ministry is helping people grow in their relationship with Christ and seeing others mature as believers. He is also committed to the idea that Christ’s church should seek to have a significant impact outside the walls of the local sanctuary.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13–14.

"Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10.

And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,

to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the

faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into maturity with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness. Ephesians 4:11-13
